ACHIEVEMENTS.
Construction of the Loiborsoit Primary School and teachers' quarters. The school is nearing completion. Kindergarten classes have already started, and primary school classes start as soon as school construction is fully complete.
The sting-less bee project aims to provide income for the villagers. Income from the honey offers an alternative to charcoal production and tree culling. There are a total of 70 Maasai villagers who own 240 beehives , and they sell their honey to small scale industries in Arusha. They earn an equivalent of $5000 per year for the village. The village and HAPA looks forward to expanding this project even further. |

Raising environmental awareness about the value of wildlife, the importance of conserving the environment for the wildlife, and the benefits from the environment in a sustainable manner. This is accomplished through environmental education in the newly built school, as well as adult seminars on the importance of wildlife corridors, efficient farming practices, soil conservation, anti-poaching, and tree planting.
Coordinated our efforts with not only the Loiborsoit village, but also other humanitarian and wildlife organizations such as the African Wildlife Foundation, the Simanjiro District Counsel, and World Society for the Protection of Animals. |
